Want to post YOUR reviews directly onto the internet? It’s easy using this form. Just type the name of the cigar you are reviewing into the “title” section. Then type out your review into the word block using Heading 4 size 12 font. You can preview your work by clicking the preview button next to the “?” button.
You can even post your own pictures. To submit pictures, you first need to have them hosted by a free image hosting service such as Photobucket or Flickr. Once they are hosted, copy the URL location to the image you want to upload. Then click the image button to insert an image.![]()
Next, you will be prompted with this window:

Fill in the form using the URL you copied from your image hosting service. Type in a description of the image e.g. “Macanudo cigar”. Use an image alignment of “left”. I recommend an image size of roughly 600×400. Click “Insert”

I appreciate the time it takes to review cigars. Rest assured, you will be helping many people in their cigar buying decisions!
Let me know if you have any questions by using the comment form below.

What font and size works best?
Are pictures automatically sized to fit or do you need to edit them?
When I submit the review do I get to see what the finished review will look like?
If I don’t like something can I go back and edit the review after I submit it?
Good questions! I think that size 12 font Heading 4 will match the other reviews nicely. Pictures will not be resized automatically, mine are roughly 600×400. The width should not be wider then 600, but the height can be whatever you like. There are lots of freeware resizers available for download. Search “photo resizing” and you will find several options from reputable sources. The images can be hosted online for free from Photobucket or Flickr. If you have any problems at all with enhancing, editing, or hosting images, I would be happy to help. You can email me at matt@straightupcigars.com; attach the images and let me know what you would like me to do with them. I can even host them at straightupcigars.com if you are not comfortable with using the other sources.
Unfortunately there is no way for you to review or edit the posts after they are made. I wish there was. The only option is to email me with a request of what you would like done.
Please let me know if I need to clarify anything else. I may end up doing a how-to write up.
Terry had an older version of ActiveX which caused a problem with the image uploader. He solved it by doing this:
“I copied the html of the photo provided by Flickr. Then I opened the html editor on your review page next to the preview button. Pasted the Flickr html into the editor and voila a picture. I then copied and pasted the text.”
I ran a couple of tests and did not have an issue with the newest version of ActiveX.
