Romeo y Julieta Maduro Reserve – Cigar Review

Romeo y Julieta Maduro Reserve Lonsdale

I couldn’t wait to smoke this thing!

It smells fantastic with a sweet and chocolaty smell.

The construction and wrapper seemed a little iffy.  The cigar had a few harder spots, so I was not sure if it would burn correctly.  The wrapper was not much to look at, but it smelled and tasted incredible.

As expected, it did not burn perfectly right off the bat, but this corrected itself in the second third and stayed consistent thereafter.

The flavor is really where this medium smoke stands out.  Very sweet earthy, chocolaty, and woody flavors with a hint of cinnamon.  My hazelnut coffee made for a perfect pairing.

The iffy construction and difficult draw were most likely due to the fact that I had the lonsdale vitola, so luckily I have a toro Maduro Reserve relaxing in my humidor.

I highly recommend this cigar and I will update this review when I light up the toro version.  But until then, give this one a try!
