Padilla La Terraza Habano – Cigar Review

“FAT” Stogie Review:
Padilla La Terraza Capa Habano 2010

Cigar: Padilla La Terraza Capa Habano 2010
Size: 6 x 52
Wrapper: Nicaragua Habano
Binder: Nicaragua
Filler: Nicaragua
Strength: Medium

Appearance and Construction: The wrapper has a nice oily sheen and feels a bit rough, and has some veins present. The cigar is excellently rolled and has a nice triple cap.

Flavor & Notes: Once cut the cold draw gave some notes of wood & mocha. The first third of the cigar has notes of leather, spice, wood and a touch of mocha that has a nice flavorful blend. The second third of the cigar becomes smoother and the spice begins to develop into cinnamon, which goes well with the mocha flavor. The last third of the cigar continues with spices and stronger cinnamon notes, and a strong coffee taste and a slight woody leathery finish.

Smoking Characteristics: The draw is perfect and the burn is very good. The burn line was very straight with a solid ash that held for a good 2 inches and easily may have held longer. The aroma of the cigar is very enjoyable. Smoke was full and filled the palate nicely.

Conclusion: The flavors and note blend well and compliment each other nicely offering a mildly complex cigar with a medium body. This is a nice flavorful medium cigar that you can smoke everyday at an affordable price.

Rating: 9 out of 10
