Nica Libre – Cigar Review

Nica Libre Box Pressed Robusto

This cigar has the looks of a high dollar cigar. Luckily, it is not!

It smelled very woody with a bit of coffee.

I was very impressed with the construction.  Even feeling throughout and with an amazing wrapper to boot!

The draw was just how I like it, smooth and easy both before and after lighting it.  The burn was also very impressive, perfectly even all the way down.

The flavors were initially very woody, but as the smoke progressed a deeper nut and butter flavor developed.  This remained throughout the smoke while cocoa and coffee flavors came in and out of the picture.

Overall I am very pleased with this medium body cigar.  The flavors were a little richer and bolder than the Cuba Libre, but as far as overall enjoyment goes I’d probably still grab the Cuba.  But don’t let that stop you from trying this one, it was fantastic!
