I’m going to have to try some more of the Gurkha line. Got to get over my thoughts of it as a novelty cigar. Nice review!

Heh: THANKS! I have at least one of these somewhere in the cooler…

Thanks guys. Yeah, a lot of people have a negative predisposition toward Gurkhas. I totally understand why… hell I cannot even distinguish one Gurkha from another most of the time (they all look the same!). I’ve got to say I was thoroughly impressed by this one. Let me know if you guys have a similar experience with the Black Dragon.

I’ve had my eye on these for some time. After reading your review it sounds like something I would really enjoy. I’ll have to pick some up on my next order.
And I would have to agree about many Gurkhas being similar. I often wonder if they roll five or six different cigars then just stick on different bands to create what seems like the hundreds of cigars they produce.

I like Gurkha cigars, they draw well and have a nice wrapper, though some of them tend to burn unevenly. I like the black dragon and the widow maker maduros in particular. I smoke mostly Gurkha, CAO and Graycliff cigars, almost exclusively maduros. I also enjoy a glass of Buffalo trace bourbon w/ my cigar.
