This cigar has a very oily Nicaraguan Colorado wrapper that is dark brown in color with some small veins.
It is very tightly packed and feels heavy when holding it. The draw is nice after using my punch on it.
It smells very sweet and spicy with a very pungent smelling foot. It smells and looks great, I am impressed so far.
The first third was great with toasty cedary flavor and a sweet spicy pepper finish that really lasts. I also tasted some cocoa in there. It is medium/full bodied and has a great draw that produces a lot of smoke. I can tell right away that it is a strong cigar with an intense nicotine kick.
The second third did start off with a burn correction after the dark gray/black ash fell off. The were very bold. It tasted like rich buttery pepper with a spicy espresso bean finish. It increased to full bodied and I need to remind you, this cigar is strong!
The final third was entirely spicy pepper and still has a finish that reminds me of espresso beans. The taste of this cigar remains thick in your mouth until the next draw. The final third is intensely full bodied and really packs a punch.
Overall, this is an awesome cigar! The construction was very good (it did require a burn correction). The flavors were exceptional. I would not classify this as an overly complex cigar, but it got the job done! It was very strong in body and strength, so make sure that is what you are into before buying! I highly recommend trying Casa Magna Colorado, it really lives up to its name.
