    Heh. Pretty cool. Nice record.

Not a full-on tech geek, but can you host this (free) on Google office or some such? That is, I am sure there is a way (but note I am too lazy to dig it up myself) to host this for free as an html doc.

I am super busy this week (with, uh, my *actual* job) but if I remember I will try to track down whatever the heck it is I am talking about…

DJ, I am not sure what you are referring to, but I’d love to know!

It seems atleast 1 person has had trouble downloading the xlsx file. Is anyone else having trouble. Darren said it is downloading a .zip folder with multiple different files inside. When downloaded, it should just be an .xlsx file which can be opened in Excel or freeware open office programs.

Your feedback would be much appreciated!

    Here we go:

    http://docs.google.com

    Upload, share, edit, etc.!

Ok, I’ll have to check out google docs tonight! I tried downloading the reviewer today from work with Internet Explorer… it was a stinking .zip file that did not contain the necessary .xlsx file.

With Firefox, I have not had a problem. Is anyone getting a .zip file with Firefox?

I am now in firefox (I have both) and when I click on the link I get an internet page that pops up with a bunch of random symbols. I am wondering if you have some sort of add-on that is allowing you to link with the file and not others. You might try using Internet Explorer to host the file. This is a very interesting glitch…..

I haven’t hosted the file yet myself (actually, that’s not true: I DID host the file, I just didn’t put the link out yet). I was just posting to the google docs, a place where ANYONE can host a doc and then decide/invite who should access.

Tried it on safari, chrome, firefox (mac) and IE; worked for ME! Google is usually pretty good about that stuff. I’ll have more time to fiddle with it next week.

I got it to work. This may just be with Windows Explorer. If you right click on the link and then click on “Save Target As”. Then change the file type to “All Files”. Then rename the file to “Cigar-Reviewer2.xlsx” I don’t know why but it seems that it doesn’t know what file extension it is supposed to be so it uses .zip by default.

Mine downloaded fine using Windows explorer and doing what Darren suggested. Great idea guys!
