5 Vegas Gold Maduro Box Pressed Robusto Review
This cigar’s broadleaf maduro wrapper is very dark and oily with only a couple of small veins. Really nice looking wrapper on here.
It has a good spongy feel and the draw is just right after I used my punch on it.
It has a very pungent earthy, but also floral, smell. I really enjoy the smell of this cigar. I sat and smelled it for a couple of minutes before lighting it up.
I am impressed by the look, feel, and smell of this cigar – time to light up.
The first third features the classic sweet maduro flavor with a toasty and nutty core flavor. It is producing a ton of medium bodied smoke. The burn is a bit uneven, but the light gray ash holds on strong for over an inch.
The second third has a dry toasty taste with a sweet and spicy finish. I also sensed a bit of jasmine in the sweetness that was very pleasing. The burn stayed even after I made a quick correction to it.
The final third was very similar to the second. The smoke remained dry and medium bodied. The flavor was earthy and toasty with a slightly sweet and very spicy finish.
